For years we let them cut our jobs. Continue working with the minimum. Call off work because we are tired. Some out on stress, medical. No one is replaced to do the work. Yet the job still gets done. That just shows Vena he can cut even more or even shut our yard down. Whether we like it or not, we have to live with this fear of losing our jobs. 10 yrs, 20 yrs. but not close to retiring. This job is a gamble today. Alot of talk of the craft being replaced with "utility workers". Has it happened at your location? Idk. One thing we all should do is freshen up our resumes. Idk but Iam getting sick of getting sh-t In the mail from this d-mb a-s company. Quit 2 months ago with 22 yrs and yes grass is way greener on the other side. Don’t have to hear about d-mb a-s production numbers or stock numbers or share holders. This company is a sh-t hole VENA is a pos hope he has fun in he-l. the problem system wide is management “gets it done” on paper. FRA and telemetry car just came thru, put a 10mph at a very very busy control point. Surfacing gang tried for days to get track & time to fix the defect. After a few days where the dispatcher and corridor wouldnt grant them time needed all of a sudden management says the defect was repaired and the telemetry car sc--wed up and the slow order was removed.

FRA needs to change to a ZERO defect strategy, if there is a defect found all train traffic is to be stopped until it is repaired, and the rail carrier is to 100% refund all fees to every customer who had their shipment delayed bcuz of their willful neglect that caused that defect. That would stop all this nonsense.
How about Stockton and Roseville?
