Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

I know that upper managers for the most part don’t care but I wonder….

if they ever read these posts at all just to see what the employee vibe truly is beyond lying on the VOE.

Upper management is only about themselves and $$$$$ they make. I have yet to meet someone who really cares or not self-involved. It's unwise to believe what any of them have to say because at the end of the day it's all about them and not the "team".

Upper management is inept. And it's the same people who got us here that are deciding the reorg. The blind is leading the blind. It's the definition of insanity.

OP here.
not just about the layoff stuff but the employee feel over everything.
benefits, pay, perks, (lack thereof), micromanagement all the general comments about Citi or Jane that are made on this site. I’ve always wondered if MD ever scroll through them from time to time just to get a feel of things.

I have no idea if you guys are truly managers just like you have no idea if I am the OP.
So there’s that.

I am curious why @ @bnf+1r6R4Lfq was down voted.
As a manager, I can tell you that he is correct. Management doesn't have as much say in layoff decisions beyond who absolutely needs to say to keep the business running.

Managers do care but somethings are just beyond our control.
With 15 employees when asked to rank them one to 10, I can't just give them all a 10.
Then someone will just randomly pick which evr 2 them want to let go so it's not really in our interest to not rank employees.
