And here we are, the results are in and the markets have spoken. No scapegoats all to blame. Would including HN in the results have made them even worse?
Always one business segment to blame each quarter. Which one will be the scapegoat this time?
Who is we/us?
I agree, Hickory made the d-mb decision. But better integration would not have saved us from completely getting our clocks cleaned by Harmonic and virtualization. We paid serious money, financed with 100% debt, for a business that immediately went into a steep decline. We did this to ourselves. Of course, Arris lied to us as well.
It is evident that with the GM model certain strategic decisions, operational approaches, or leadership styles have become detrimental. Will CommScope finally replace the GM leads who did not adapt to the evolving market conditions and organizational needs? The blind leading the blind for too long.
Get over it. That was almost 5 years ago. It was Hickory’s decision in the end, and the companies could have been integrated much differently than it looks today.
“Who on earth would buy ANS? Totally lame business. Arris sold us a pig in a poke with that one.“

Layoffs will happen this Monday And Tuesday
Likely Chuck comment at the next town hall" "And remember, it was those previous id--ts (not us, the current ones) who bought Arris and incurred all that debt. So don't blame us....just throw more money at us to keep us motivated!"
Co-operation is very good to do balance sheet from the layoffs as "gain" of business margin, rosy picture to investors. My guess is very good at 4th quarter (you know why!), stock up, then down, layoffs continue...
They started bad mouthing ANS a couple of town halls back. I figure that will be the next scapegoat.
A lucky segment (that is not CCS) will be chosen to replace the scapegoat namely HN.
Hiding behind HN for the last few years.. rubber is about to hit the road, Chuck!
Hopefully Mingle-Dingle gets a few mins to share how employee morale remains at an all-time high.
And this is the last time he can blame HN
You forgot the macro headwinds.
