And wake up on March 1st? We’ve been under so much pressure and facing uncertainty for weeks now. I have a life to live and bills to pay, and it would be great to finally find out whether I should be looking for another job.

I agree get this over with. If I am out the door I want to get on with my life and use some of my severance for a nice vacation lmao
You all just complain, go quit if you not liking this, this is not the 1st lay off at this company , if you are not happy leave today.
this guy's below is 100% correct
Always monitor the job market and keep a few irons in the flame for unforseen job loss. We here at Enbridge and any oil and gas company regardless of the department, from field level to legal and all in-between, are 1 pipeline leak or rupture from unemployment and a bad history moment.
If you skillet doesn't allow for that, time to look in the mirror and ask yourself wtf am I doing?
everybody should be looking for another job even if you feel like you're among the "safer" employees. if you think this is gonna be the only round of layoffs you have your head up your a-s. In addition to applications I have elsewhere in the company I've got like 20 others actively out there (mostly with competitors) and am in touch with a headhunter who is gonna reach out to me on the big day if I'm laid off.
Sad you have to lean on this for people to tell you to keep your options open. Jeez, not really a go getter are we?
I wouldn’t wait to look for another job. Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Who knows, in your search you might find a better, happier opportunity AND you don’t get a package and the decision is yours to make OR, you do get a package and you have another job already lined up so the severance is just extra money. Use your judgement and do what’s right for you - we always need to be looking out for ourselves as no one cares about our best interest as much as ourselves. I know the wait is grueling, I’m struggling with the uncertainty as well, just because the change, uncertainty, and “limbo” is tough and unsettling. It’ll be over soon - YOU GOT THIS!
