Why keep hiring

Why do they keep hiring? I’m sure it probably a d-mb question, but unfortunately I think logically and there isn’t any logic that I can think of to this. Can’t keep the ones they got now marked up and want to hire more. In the end people will get tired of not working and quit. Yet when I hired on they bragged about how much it cost to train a new hire. What’s the plan they have cooking??

The company gets tax incentives. They also want to show they hired so many non-caucasions for their DEI numbers. The trash at the top know the majority of the newly hired will most likely get furloughed. Its a smoke and mirrors numbers game.

Share holders love hearing big numbers when a company furloughs employees, they don’t hear the number being hired, only the number being fired, so if JV hires more employees right before a big layoff, it’s sugar coats the numbers he gets to announce to the shareholders.
