Fact is there are no migrations TO Teradata…. Only FROM. And no new logos so this is a pure (shrinking) renewals business. Sad.

The analysts across the board are downgrading the stock. SM and CB cannot continue to tell lies and expect to not be called out.

The game is up and the numbers don't lie. Decreasing revenue in a booming market with a shrinking customer base.

Saw the early post saying we used to have 1,200 customers and now 500ish. And I just read a Tech Crunch article where Snowflake is claiming 9,600 corporate customers, wow.

Posters caught up in their feelings? Hardly. Did you read the earnings call transcript? Did you see the precipitous drop in the stock price? Did you pay attention to the RIFs?

When I was shown the door TDC had over 1200 customers. Last I heard there’s 500ish.

IT you rarely hear about TDC anymore. It’s considered a legacy solution. Snowflake, and Oracle are Teradatas primary competitors and almost always win deals when going head to head.

Lots of the people posting on here are caught up in their feelings. Hard to assess how realistic the concerns are at this point.

How many new logos did TDC sign in 2023?
What is the churn rate?

Once they figure out there are no new customers it will drop below $20. Smart? How do they let SM say “more than any recent quarter” without asking for a number? 2, 10, 50? Unbelievable they let this slide on every call.

Everyone but the analysts knew that this day was going to come. Or maybe they refused to believe that the business was being so poorly managed?

Either way, the mic drop moment happened and now it's a firesale scenario.

  • Leases on offices are not being renewed
  • It's extremely hard to get a new role justified
  • Expense management is under the microscope
  • Training is being cut back

All the indicators are there for analysts to see.

What took them so long? I thought they’re supposed to be smart.

These guys were all drinking the ELT's "Teradata has a key role in AI" koolaid. If they knew what's happening under the hood, the target value would be peanuts.
