Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Out of all the section that should be trimmed down the most, HR would be it.

Layoff the bulk of them and outsource what HR you need as you need it.
They never respond and when they do, they give the least obfuscated answers they can give. Most often times its a link to the FAQ which in turn usually does not answer the question posed. Since they are so proud of sending people to use the chatbot for help, then why have them around.

Funny how upon the threat of layoff’s that also includes them, you find HR chiming in on this board more than they ever had.

My recruiter s*cked. I had an offer from Citi, she went on vacation without presenting it to me. A month later the hiring manager gave me a buzz and asked me if I had any questions about the offer. I let them know that I’ve heard nothing. Someone else from HR called me and informed me that the other HR person went on leave and dropped the ball and here’s Citi’s offer.

Unfortunately that whole experience is the best HR experience I’ve had with Citi. It went down hill from there.

“I have a mutual fund “x” and “x” and really like them, does Citi offer the same fund in its 401K”, “Oh sure, we’re a bank, we offer all of that stuff.”, well that was a lie. To be honest not much has changed. Just a whole string of half truths, outright lies or no answers at all.

An accurate math formula to represent Citi HR would be “Citi HR ≠ quality”

I had a good recruiter. She worked with getting me here and was responsive. I'm sorry she's no longer here. I kept meaning to reach out to her to thank her for her help.

He is just trolling because he saw someone say they were from HR on a recent post. I can see him now, giggling like a child as he types

To the OP
While most who hit this site would agree with you, the sentiment has hit this board many times already.

Your axe has been ground to a nub.
Pretty dull.
