I went to my local office today and it was carnage. Barely got a desk, keyboard wasnt working and i have a pain in my back from the chair. The noise was intolerable , people were standing around chatting and i couldnt get any work done. So this helped me decide to go remote, if they get rid of me then thats fine

RTO will save Dell albeit a smaller dell
what office did you go into? the one here seems to be ok , well we have working keyboards... of course i only use the laptop keyboard anyways..
@kxs+1r3JuPFk Work is an outcome not a place. My +3hrs saved on commute and lunch more than make up for the occasional Target run. You are just jealous.
Have fun commuting 1hr in traffic when it is 115deg outside and your ac can’t keep up to sit at a chair with stains on it and crumbs all over the keyboard and your 17” 1080P monitor to log in to teams to do the same work. Then go off site for 1.5 hr lunch and leave early for happy hour.
Most will go remote to their embarrassment.
And do not forget that the cost of cognitive power at Dell goes to zero..
you couldnt get any work done because you dont do any work. RTO FULL TIME is what needs to happen. too many people running errands and looking busy working remote.
Strategy wise it makes no sense to go hybrid unless you have a lucrative promotion on the horizon.

Dell the last few years has done everything to get out of hosting employees.
What is left now is the office version of a flea market.
Pretty sure the idea of setting up tents in parking lots has been floated around.
I have the same experience. Even if I try my best I find I get barely any work done when in the office. I’m going Remote for both my benefit and that of the business, even if I’ll be punished for it.
sounds like a great place not to work and collect and pay check.
some folks just know how the game works.
