Remote work is about to go away

A communication will be coming out soon. All employees will have to be in the office five days a week.

@axpg+1r2XFQRs Depends on the area of the company. If you’re in mfg, supply chain, or technology, most are required to be in the office full time now. Some areas still allow 9-80, or periodic remote if there is a special circumstance.

I am looking to apply after graduating this May. What is the current schedule? Is it fully remote? Hybrid? 9/80?

@1jgw Def agree, especially since a lot of people were already remote pre-covid.

I’m told that in Harris County, a sizeable chunk of the juicy tax subsidies BH and other companies get are tied to office occupancy. That may have something to do with the RTO push.

BH was never a good place to work anyway. It was a little better as BHGE, but not much.

@OP That’s strange. A lot of people at BH were remote before Covid and it was never an issue. It wasn’t uncommon for people to come in once per month at most. They must be trying to do a soft layoff.

That will go down like a lead balloon.
Plenty companies still offering WFH.

You don’t need to be in an office staring at a screen.

Dinosaurs running the company. When I say running I mean into the ground.

Does it mean that Romain as well will have to relocate back to Aberdeen from France in order to sit with the team or is it just for the minions?

If that happens there will be a few thousands running for the door. But maybe that's exactly the desired effect... time will tell
