The issue of how inept our leaders are has been well stated on this platform a la
@OP+1qVqEAwS. The release of Punit Renjen before he EVEN took over the Chairman role is a major statement yet again on how SAP bungles one leadership position after the other.
But who is to blame for all of this? I am coming to the opinion that much of this ineptness comes from Hasso himself, with the tacit support of Dietmar. Being a great entrepreneur does not make you a great leader and Hasso should have stepped out long ago, but I think there is too much emotion and ownership over what he, Dietmar and the others created and clearly he is not capable of relinquishing control.
It absolutely defies logic as to how someone can be selected, approved and installed (for 10 months) as Deputy Chairman for a Fortune 100 company and then somehow "somebody" somehow discovers that there is a difference in perspective on the role of SAP Chairman role?
Whoever is pulling all of these strings is clearly in over their head. The bad news is that all of us will sink or swim also based on the decisions this elusive person is making. This company is so top heavy with all of the wrong people in place which extends from running our Regions, to the Executive Board as well to the Supervisory Board. Let's see what the oddsmakers are putting out as to just how long the new Chairperson will last.
If our jobs were not at risk, this would be hilarious .
