Has anyone been able to get confirmation of payment by Bcom for cobra? Insurance has me “pending” due to waiting for Bcom to confirm or pay for insurance Feb-Apr. This is in the US.

Perhaps they shouldn’t have fired all of their operations support.
I’m guessing that there are too many action items for a small team. I know how I felt just before I left (too much work) and the people processing cobra and severance are likely overworked. We urgently need the insurance but I’m trying to empathize with them a little longer.
Signed up on BC benefits page and checked with insurance company by calling them. Insurance is valid and no issues. There is no termination date on insurance. By the way not sure what insurance you are selecting but general rule is that you have 30 days to pay. It will be same rule when we start to pay COBRA. So even if BC has not sent payment, you insurance is not canceled till end of Feb. This rule is valid for all insurances.
I have Anthem and I called them and confirmed this.
I elected online and have funded coverage.
Just confirming the BCom benefits page doesn't cut it. Check your actual insurance provider. I am in the same boat. I have filled out the online benefits to elect COBRA but BCom has not sent paperwork to the insurance provider yet.
Checked again today and still no payment by Bcom for cobra. I don’t have insurance per the insurance company.

Where do you see that BC has not paid. I signed up for COBRA via Benefits Now and it was just a zero $ signup. Got confirmation and that’s it. I have been to doctor since then and nobody has yet said my insurance is not valid.
I hope they pay soon. Cobra has a limit on the number of days before they cancel, if payment is not received.
