Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

MR reading between the lines

Things said this week
Things said this week by management:
"In the near future"
"Alt households will be signed by phone"
"We will send membership reps out to only work the Basics"

How many membership reps will they keep if they are only allowing certain ones to sign the basics? How can I get my manager to give me more basics to work so I can keep my job? Had anyone heard a time frame on this?

My understanding is that MR layoffs will be next month. That is what I’ve heard for the last couple months March 2024.

To the below poster; it doesn't matter if they do or don't like you. Lots of very well liked people have been laid off. More often than not, it's strictly numbers.

Just look for something new....there's 100% chance that this is a good idea. A-s kissing may or may not matter....really, EVERYBODY is replacable....shoot, ask DK.

Update your resume.

95% installation rate? No Way! That's not going to happen! Imagine any one of your family members trying to install the equipment. Think Granny is just going to toss this in front of her TV? It's not "plug and play" despite what they tell us. There's a reason it sometimes takes hours to complete an installation appointment. Nielsen is known for its quality. With self-installed equipment quality goes in the toilet.

Opinion:
Future is likely to be 95% phone and online recruitment/installations. In-person anything cost too much. Markets not using nanos/ppms will likely give up on accreditation.

I would put your energy into finding a new job.

The amount of basics you beg for will not keep you safe. They will only keep a few based on salary basically. If you're newer, you're probably safer.
