I think sap needs to decide its identity a German company or a global company founded in Germany. Either way sap need to be in best position to win. Recent success of competitors in sap’s home turf making it more urgent. Supervisory board or executive board strategy , direction, assignments etc are all immaterial if the employees don’t ask the fundamental question what it takes to win in the current environment coz if sap’s growth declines it will cease to exist anyway. A best strategy is to focus on customers and doing it better than competitors. And when focusing on global customer base it requires to stay close to the customers. So let’s ask the fundamental question to our management and the board as that is more important.

Thank god we are not going to have to put up with whatever Renjen’s vision was and that Mr Plattner is still involved enough to save us from that.
cost cutting and India offshoring is not leading to a sustainable future. SAP is a company who has become a great company thanks to a euro centric vision and well executed sales management- sure difficult efficiency discussions need to be had but lift and shift is not the answer. I am impressed by the way with how well spoken and on the ball our German works council has defended SAPs strengths on behalf of the whole workforce.
Grateful we don’t have to put up with a couple of years of running the company in the ground.

Last week SAP announced in a press article (German) that they are looking for a legal compliant solution to enable that Hasso Plattner can consult SAP in the future - what ever that means. Other way round: In another article Hasso Plattner offered to continue to support SAP. One reason was that the employee members of the supervisory board asked Hasso to continue to avoid any negative impact for the employees (in Germany).
May be that is not the way Punjit Renjen wanted to go.
Remember that SAP SE is a share holder based company by European law located in Germany. That means that 50% of the supervisory board are employees many of them being in the company for a long time. There are supervisory board members of the capital side from Hasso Plattner. Difficult situation for Punjit Renjen - the majority in the supervisory board might be against him - a little bid difficult.
