Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

I'm considering handing in my resignation

I don't have a new job lined up but the toxicity has become too much for me. The constant worry about layoffs is destroying my mental health and I am starting to believe that I'll be better off and stress less if I'm unemployed and looking for a job than still working here. That's how bad it is.

What's wrong with you? Only d-mb-d-mbs leave their jobs voluntarily without having another job lined up. Unless you have some deep saving, are rich, live with mommy and daddy or have little to no bills.

“Leaving does not make sense, If they get rid of you they pay you... if they don't they still pay you it's a win-win situation“

That is not win win. If you go somewhere else you get paid somewhere else. But if you stay you get paid and are in literal he-l. If you have any work ethic or pride at all staying and coasting will crush your soul.

Leaving does not make sense, If they get rid of you they pay you... if they don't they still pay you it's a win-win situation. You need to focus on doing your role and blocking everything else out!! it's only a job at the end of the day

Remember you are here for one reason and one reason only and that is to get paid, If you are stressed and feel overwhelmed speak with your manager and ask for time off till this blows over. You would be mad to leave a company that is on its hands and knees right now. You can always keep an eye out for a better role but I would not leave this place till you get your compensation :)

I'm kind of in the same boat. Waiting for a payout late this year, and then I'm gone.

Like everyone said. Take care of yourself. Go see a doc and get a leave of absence for a month, and reset. Good luck and take care of yourself

“If you quit they win. “

So what? Do what you need to do for you. Who cares if CSG suffers or benefits from it. It’s not your problem.

If you decided you’re out, milk the paycheck for a few cycles while you line up something else.

Let me tell you though that once you do….. wow is it better out there. You don’t realize how bad a place got when it sneaks up on you slow over years.

Get a new job and let TK pay you to find it.

The market is not friendly to people without work. Get out of your funk and look for a new job. Basically don't give a sht about shtrix. Then you resign.

If you quit they win. Quiet quit or slow your role in meeting deadlines. Actively look for a new job. That way you will be able to make a smooth transition to a new opportunity or leave with a severance package that will help wait out the current job market.

Consider getting in touch with EAP for help and assistance to discuss it out. You're not out there alone. Me and my 90% of team got impacted last week and are in transition. Like others said, don't take it too serious on yourself and the job market seems to be recovering to use the time you have to upskill and prepare and try giving interviews. Even if you fail in some initial ones, don't lose hope as it's common for many but you'll surely crack a great one when you have the skills and relevant current interview experience.

Depends on your country, but use all your holiday and everything that's due, then just accept the other role and start disconnecting from Citrix and make the transition yourself.

If it is so serious you're concerned about your health, take leave and seek help. Don't quit and make everything worse by making your financial situation worse.

Your health comes first. Someone on my team is resigning as soon as the CIP bonus comes through. They've been applying for months the market is terrible. They are sui-idal but had too much guilt about abandoning us. We had a team meeting after the all-hands. No matter what TK say it really is that bad some places.

Don't be stupid. Don't quit before you have another job.

Don't take your job so seriously.
