Going to be bumpy.....

where are you getting it from that there will be 20,000 this quarter?
it’s not 20000 over 2 years.
the news is misreporting.
It’s 20k this quarter. Read the statement.
They are announcing 5k on the 22nd and then the other 20k by end of Q1
I don’t think it counted the 7k in 2023 which were mostly prior to the restructuring announcement back in March. More like just the 1500 from Q4.
@lwg+1qxePFQP I think this is so more people will leave. People are already stressed over hearing about the bulk of layoffs that were to happen in Q1. Nothing was said previously about 20,000 over 2 years.
is it correct that these numbers were given in the presentation? Only 5000 are losing their job this quarter?
Why in next few years ?
They have to cover Severance Cost for every quarter or year. So don't expect any growth, hike for upcoming years.
240,000 employees - 40,000 banamex = 200,000. Then the 20,000 reduction (10%) brings us to 180,000. But over 2 years?
this was all disclosed on the earnings call in the presentation and Q&A
Where are you getting these numbers from?
I like how we have been told the layoffs will all be done by the end of this quarter. They told us they didn’t want to drag it on but now on earnings she says over the next few years. Ugh
