What a useless article. It’s always been either PE or a possible vender buying EUC and CB. This rumor and these PEs have been mentioned in water cooler talk since the acquisition. They are literally reporting months old gossip as news, but with no certainty at all and no actual news of movement.

Irrespective of what the press releases say, you are aware that BC is a PE firm, right?

Private Equity firms typically assess the leadership team of acquired
companies and make changes as needed.

That certainly hasn't happened at the company formerly known as vmware.
The same chuckleheads (hired for reasons no one knows), who got the company into this mess, are still in place.

"What will this mean for EUC leaders like Shankar, Scott, Rob, etc?"

The only EUC vendor growing significant market share is Microsoft with Intune Suite. VMware EUC is a distant third rank, behind Citrix (according to IDC market study). Leader change is inevitable for VMW EUC.

Private Equity firms typically assess the leadership team of acquired companies and make changes as needed. Note, that most of the Citrix leadership was fired and replaced by PE.

Welcome to 75% layoffs over a few years, with the remaining jobs being in “best cost” areas.

You realize EUC is hiring right? Openings approved by Hock to plug the holes so they can sell a complete company.

What will this mean for EUC leaders like Shankar, Scott, Rob, etc?

Whoever is purchasing EUC will be buying a complete company. I would expect that the leadership wouldn’t change. They would report to the BOD which I expect would be the PE company.

Which one is worse? PE or BC?

What will this mean for EUC leaders like Shankar, Scott, Rob, etc?

PE firms don’t need them and the majority of employees for that matter.

Nooooo they can't be buying EUC because everyone was so "excited that leadership was motivated now!" I look forward to Shankar golden parachute.

Zzzzzz... worst kept secret on earth. Much of tech is getting absorbed by PE.. nothing of note here. back to your desks.

Would be great to keep Horizon and Airwatch (re-branded back to Airwatch). Treat them as standalone entities, which is what they are.

Toss ShitSpace One and Carbon Hack in the garbage, where they belong. Not just their management, but the entire teams working on them. They are just standing in the way of success.

This is old news.. I already know the PE buying EUC. Get ready they are going to squeeze hard. Not sure about CB yet.

They are going to re-aligned their management. Most sellers and SEs should be OK. Just be ready to do a lot with nothing.
