It must be sad to be from a culture of human robots....sad. The Spirit of Humanity always wins. Long Humanity!
I'm all for leaving big tech in the hands of Indians. It makes our tech overlords less powerful. If they can't innovate in their country, they won't innovate here. Let them fight over which caste belongs where, and let us invent and make sure we can compete with the Chinese.

Us, MS and most of the top tech companies are already embedded with Indian leaders already. Too late now to turn the tide. Game over.
India isn't interested in copying anything, it's too hard. Their one and only objective is to hijack and control tech through the ranks of management all the way up to C-suite. What they have learned is Americans are so naive, simple big lies and pretentious loyalty will trick just about anyone into giving control to Indian leadership.
The second objective is to create employment for India. AI R&D still requires tons of human input, and India wants to make sure it has full control over that in the coming decade. Once India has firm grip on AI, it has firm grip on countries that depend on AI.
If copying was that trivial, I would expect India to look like Japan, but in reality, the skyline of their best cities compares to Lagos.
China is big copying machine. Indian just come over and take over, much better. Who care about inventing when we can take over. Indian rules!
I understand China is the future, but I can't understand why anyone would think the same about India. Indians brag about U.S. Indian tech CEOs, but there isn't a single tech company founded by an Indian. There isn't a single tech company from India, or at least one anyone knows about globally. Forgot about tech, there isn't hardly anything made in India in a store that the Bangladeshis can make better.
Think of India as being slightly better than Africa. If they don't want parity with Africa, Indians should be doing whatever they can to bootlick the U.S.
I googled the reason for the Google layoffs, and Google's search results told me it's because Google's AI is soo successful!!!
We should take a moment to celebrate this progress.
