I dont understand how why sr mgmt thinks it they dont talk about it and just do it that it wont be noticed and not talked about after the fact. Eventually the silence wears off and people start wondering where their coworkers are and why they arent online.
Best to just be upfront, transparent, and dont to incremental job cuts.
I have seen a few silent layoffs in late December/early Jan impacting people I work with. Based on job listing locations, layoffs might continue for a while in the first quarter of 2024
What happened to Good old days? I cannot answer that other than they have learned they need to change their business model and be profitable. Look for offshoring and near shoring. You can see this by looking at the postings that now jobs are being added outside the US then in.
