Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Anyone ready to start a union yet?

We have zero power. They have it all. They take all the profits. Decrease bonuses. Increase our health care costs. There is no good news for employees ever. We have no say in anything. What would it take to start one? Is there any legal reason we couldn’t?

I’m down. Set something up with a Union Organizer, put up meeting invites around the JAB, Channel Center and/or One Congress and I will attend along with a half dozen colleagues who have had the same idea.

Since the company has laid off so many workers and replaced them with H1B workers.
Outsourced so many jobs to other companies.

A union would not have a large enough number of workers to have any power to
negotiate with the company.
