Not in every country it’s not.
What slide? What does it have to do with any of this?
The slide that describe the RTO policy.
“Made zero plans for Broadcom “…
I’ll just find someone to help take care of my kids on 3 days notice, cause you know I could have told potential sitters , “I need you whenever the deal may close but don’t know when, just wait for me.” That isn’t how the job market works.
Hock is just an ahole. I guess fanboys like you are fine working for ahole.
You won't change Hock's mind. He wants butts in seats. Just swipe your badge in the morning and leave after lunch like most people do.
Nope. Go read the slide presented to the teams.
What slide? What does it have to do with any of this?
Nope, waiting for the acquisition that may or may not happen doesn’t count as warning time.
LOL, you made zero plans for Broadcom buying us out, even though it was the number one topic for months. You did nothing? You didn't think through any solutions? Did you really put all your eggs into the "it won't happen" basket until the very end?
The rest of your post is just your manifesto on how evil a person you never met is.
You've added many qualifiers here to ensure you get the answer you want.
Nope. Go read the slide presented to the teams.
First, you've had months of warning
Nope, waiting for the acquisition that may or may not happen doesn’t count as warning time. Remember Hock going to sûck XI’s dïck in SF? Ever make plans for child care in your life?
Other RTO companies? You should also include 3+ day RTO rules.
I’d be happy with a 3 day rule that is flexible. I’m flexible and open to it. I’m not open to Hock the ásshole flexing his authoritarian muscle for the fun of it.
Is there a tracker for how many people think their CEO is a ‘orrible cûnt?
Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cûnt... Hock
I’ll be leaving and telling everyone I can just what a cünt Hock is. Those not yet made an official offer should look elsewhere for sure. Who wants to be anywhere near this sad depraved creature.
What company is mandating 5 days a week for all employees who are 50 miles or less and the message delivered with a snark “no exceptions unless you walk on water” and three days warning.
You've added many qualifiers here to ensure you get the answer you want.
First, you've had months of warning. Not three days. The 50 mile rule was known for a very long time. 23 May 2022 was the first discussion in Slack. Searching Slack also shows one of our other acquisitions also had this rule.
Other RTO companies? You should also include 3+ day RTO rules.
Tesla, Twitter, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Apple, Google, Meta
There's a tracker at: https://buildremote.co/companies/return-to-office/
What company isn't doing return to office? Go see if they are hiring.
Go to H3ll OP
we should be excited to be in office. HT is paying millions on real estate, why dont we want to take advantage of it and network+collaborate at the office. 5 days of focus time, instead of being a home checking your social media, laundry, cooking, the dog, and the list goes on..
They never said it had anything to do with covid. Hock wants us in the office because he is an ashole that is trying to drive people away; and he knows forcing 5 day return to office will do that.
And the inevitable lawsuits for constructive termination are just noise to him.
No Covid, no WFH.
Unrelated topics.
"No WFH" is the rule. And rules must be followed. No exceptions.
If covid is swirling, or a sewage leak has raw sewage ankle deep in the office, you must still come into the office.
It's simple. It's all about discipline, according to Hock.
You must have discipline to come to the office. Because it's impossible to work from home. Hock has said so. It's impossible. It violates the laws of thermodynamics and causes him to be sad.
And from the corpororate side, if you don't come into the office, they will discipline you.
And?
Hock is still a cünt.
