Perpetual layoffs at Amazon, outsourcing.

Why doesn't Amazon make a main hub in Timbuktu and RTO employees there? It would be cheaper than doing normal layoffs w/severance. 500 employees, 20K severance average, save $10M saved. Then Amazon can lower the expensive $10 salads at Wholefoods. Bezos has a big yacht where those 500 employees could stay until they "land" another job.
