As others have mentioned. I can confirm layoffs are coming end of January. Again IT taking the hit.

Gearing up for yet another round of layoffs in Q1 2024. Sr Mgt confirmed 1/17/24; a Manager I was to be offered a role with had to pull a requisition back due to layoff advisement at senior levels of their area. This is to be company wide. Layoffs every quarter consistently it feels like. UHC / Optum has been able to skirt the WARN act law, because it's state based not company based. So the mass layoffs of 22-25% of the company have to be by state to be out of compliance. Because they're not by state, UHC gets away with it. (That is directly from Department of Labor.) Additionally - watch out for mass hiring events to be conducted afterwards, just like they did in late Q3/early Q4. 3 Remote hiring events and Job Fairs were published on job search platforms, and sent out to many job seekers via email. Literally a punch in the face.
Sandeeps target is 20% onshore and 80% offshore. For years the target was 60% onshore and 40% offshore. Outsourcing is next. Corporate greed at its finest.
Good let’s keep the layoffs going IT side cuz once all the onshore Americans are gone, the anaerican management can be let go too! Yay!
Ahh you mean US layoffs.... They won't be laying off the IT people off shore. Infact they will just hire PH contractors. With no skills, no real care for the job.... They are just a warm body they literally know nothing about the job and will take SEVERAL months to get anywhere near what the laid off US workers knew.
Some of us have been on edge for years because of this cr-p. Not many US IT people left. Even some people I know from the LAST layoffs In April still don't have a job........
Middle mgmt rules!
Just keep moving the "goalpost." Eventually one of you will say a date that is correct.
Maybe this was just another rumor.
Layoffs were suppose to be today. Nothing yet?
What department
To the poster that wants to be moved to a new area; be careful what you wish for. You could end up redeployed. Trust me; we’re all wishing we could have our old positions back. 🫤
I am hoping to get moved to a new area! The people I work with are exactly why I hate coming to work. Maybe if I could move to a new area this would help.
Are the layoffs affecting middle and upper management generally? Or more or less evenly across the board?
Awesome we can finally get these trash middle management workers out of here. And bring in fresh people with positive intent and decent ideas. That haven’t been manipulated or who try to dominate VIA false threats.
1/18 and again no time to say good bye and locked out of system’s. Good luck to all.
1/18 or 1/25? It is usually the 3rd Thursday of the month.
