Have you ever considered there is no “announcement” day? Just each team in its own time. Bit by bit. There have already been reshufflings right before year end. Not every change is a layoff, it’s restructuring. So some will just move around, some will go, most will have no impact

Silence is deafening. Townhalls stopped a month ago. No information. No clue. Stress level is huge. Citi is a cruel company to keep employees guessing every day. Total chaos with projects being approved, then not approved, changed, not changed, pending, cancelled. No meaningful work. No real work. Productivity low. Needs to find new job.
Someone pretty knowledgeable claims:
(1) it's going to happen on a rolling basis, and this is why they've given themselves until the end of Q1 to get it done. in other words, they are not laying off everyone in one single day.
(2) most likely no one -- or next to no one -- is getting laid off this week
(3) it will start next week or the week after, but she is thinking the week after.
Expect announcements Jan 11-19.
Should be sometime this month. Yea the waiting game is annoying now. Just let people know whether they will have a job or not so we can all move on with our lives. Typical corporate nonsense we all have to deal with.
Everyone knows at this point.
