I’m sure they won’t. They don’t want to ruin your cactus club dinner and flowers.

Leaving an overhanging black cloud of fear and dread over employees heads for months on end usually results in good morale and high productivity.

Well, if we are taking bets, I’ll take the under with Feb 1 as the target. Reorg announcements come with the goodbyes of those to be thanked for their contributions. I just don’t see them laying off the same time they are giving the big IC bonuses and PSUs.

“Beware the Ides of March”, a famous phrase that originated from William Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar." In the play, a soothsayer warns the Roman leader Julius Caesar about the "Ides of March." The Ides of March refers to March 15 in the Roman calendar, which was a notable date for various religious observances and was also a deadline for settling debts. Caesar dismisses the warning, a decision that ultimately leads to his tragic downfall.

The Ides of March in the historical context is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was as-----nated in 44 BC. This event marked a turning point in Roman history and led to the downfall of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Republic (509 BC – 27 BC) was characterized by a mixed constitution with elements of democracy, oligarchy, and monarchy. It had a complex system of checks and balances, with power shared among various elected magistrates, the Senate, and popular assemblies.

The Roman Empire (27 BC – 476 AD in the West) began when Julius Caesar's adopted heir, Augustus, became the first emperor. It marked the end of political freedom in Rome, with the emperor holding supreme power.
