Poor support, ho hum products, and a disappearing act for VDI... Why are these customers hanging around? If they haven't heard about AVD and Nerdio by now, shame on them.

The fail was so bad that the ELT had to fudge the numbers for ARR conversion. Oh, and don't forget the "temporary" licensing debacle.
I'm a former Citrite and now do the same job for much more money elsewhere, I can tell you that as a customer we hate having to deal with Citrix. They have the best solution out there and they are totally abusing that position to squeeze as much money as possible from their customers. We scrapped out desktops, but they won't let us downgrade from premium to advanced as there is "no upgrade path" So basically we're paying for DaaS and don't need it. We then asked if they could do a one year license so we could move away from Citrix over the next year. They gave us a quote barely less than the 3 year cost thinking we were bluffing. But we accepted it, only for them to come back and refuse to honour the price as they didn't think we were serious.
I'm not sure making money is necessarily a indication of whether or not you'll get staffing cuts or not. NetScaler BU made double digit revenue and expenditure beats on our metrics. And our FL teams were pretty heavily decimated.
Sharefile is a great product and at the lowest price point in its market…which is why ShareFile is still hiring, has full departments (sales, engineering, support, marketing, enablement, etc) hasn’t had any layoffs throughout the entire CSG / Citrix+Tibco merger and they continue to exceed targets by far annually. It’s all about who makes money and who doesn’t. Technically the “ShareFile” business unit is actually Sharefile, RightSignature and Podio.
As someone who worked with Citrix for 5+ years and left a few years ago I convinced the company I moved to get away from Citrix and they've never been happier.
Citrix is attempting to schedule a meeting with my team to determine why they're products don't work in the cloud. Pretty funny to me that COVID happened which should of made Citrix a household name but the pi-s poor management and greed proves that even a decent product (not great but eh) during the NUMBER ONE TIME it was needed can't save a company.
My only regret is upper management/owners are swimming in their cash bonuses from last year while everyone else is getting laid off.
Man, I've been gone for a year now and I literally forgot ShareFile was even still a thing until you mentioned it here.....
No they are not. 2023 was all about CSAT and customers were happy. 2024 is all about profits.
Vista only have a short-time to make money on CSG technology with all these new competitors and landscape changes. They have to cut costs, reduce service, and hope customers are too lazy or trapped to move. They won't manage to sell BUs. Citrix is legacy technology, they missed the opportunity with NetScaler by years, and ShareFile is a poor product in a highly competitive market.
