What are your reasons for still being part of this mess? I'm stuck due to (ironically) medical coverage. I'm curious about others.

This job makes me too sui-idal to look for another.
I can't get another job
It pays the bills and puts food on the table. The only reason to stay.
All other reasons are detrimental to our health, i.e. stress, burnout, lack of staff, poor management - it is a company of busy work. Legacy management and staff have no interest in improving, or adapting; they just continue to push the pencil and work busy.
No changes! Just do more with less. Complacency and busy work is how they operate. It's a pump and dump. The push to make impossible targets so that when they are not reached, they dump staff to meet their projections. It is just that simple. They do not value innovation just the mighty dollar to line their pockets, making money from the infirmed and the United sweat shop employees. It's just kinda sad and quite despicable.
I love coming to work each day! Spreading positive vibes to all who treat themselves like victims. Situation could always be worst.
I have an amazing team and don’t want not work with them.
Is there a point where someone can get canned for taking over 12 weeks a year in PTO even if they have it? It is pretty ridiculous
I thought our group was the only ones still benefiting from unlimited PTOs. It is one of the main perks which is why I am still here.
I stay to pay my mortgage. I don’t like my team and most of them don’t know up from down and are supposedly technical, not even close! Whatever Optum wants to paint on their reviews but mismatched talent is such a politically correct way of saying go somewhere else for the love of god.
Seems like a lot of work to look for another job at this point. Trying to not get laid off for a while. Just come here to see if there are any rumors and for the drama.
I am still here cuz I've not been laid off yet.
Work from home, and it's the best pharmacy job I've had across multiple companies. Hands down.
I've had a pretty rocky employment history (undiagnosed on the spectrum with other health issues) and believe it or not, it can be a whole lot worse than Optum. I'm not being paid enough, but I'm remote and my boss only annoys me weekly instead of hourly at other jobs I've had.
I've stayed bc I can sit at home and work. And I do work very hard. But it's been so slow people are fighting over work at this point and I'm sick of being given busy work. I'm going to start looking, I can't hang anymore.
I haven't had enough time in seat yet since my last job change. Plus I want to stick around long enough to get my sign on bonus. After those things happen I may be a free agent depending on how things go.
Its a paycheck while working remote
PTO - high
Benefits - market rate
- 5% 401k match - decent
I'm leaving. Tired of the bs.
I stayed as long as I did for the PTO and benefits. Recently left and def took a cut on benefits but I just couldn’t hang any longer
To watch "leadership" run around like chicken with no heads, and look for scapegoats. The PTO is also generous.
Certainly not for their gift certificates to the Optum company store...🤣🤣
My super has openly admitted he only stays for the PTO hours, high 401k return and the remote work.
