Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

“ If you aren't in the HR manager meeting tomorrow, good luck”

That comment on the last post ⬆️! Is that a thing? Just speculation? Any info would be appreciated!

So we cannot take any vacation in January and then lay us off at the end of the month that is just some BS.

Logically speaking, it should happen in the pay week. If its not happening this week next pay week if no layoffs happen till Karthik has monthly talk, we should be safe for at least two months. All this speculation, i am also scared, i am the only source of income to my family. I wish leadership would give assurance if its not happening. They keep everything a secret till last minute. I understand they will give severance but its not how you treat an employee who worked for you. I also understand the company is not doing good but we should be treated as humans. Atleast for me i have time to find another job, one of colleague who is an immigrant has 45 days to find a job or else he has to leave everything here within 45 days and go back to his home country, which he moved 10 years back. It su-ks but life has to move on. Whether they layoff or not its not the end.

"It's happening today guys...Wednesday Jan the 10th is day of the beast."

Red flag if your manager has suddenly set up a call for you this week or suggested new timing for already scheduled calls. Be prepared regardless: pack up all your personal files because they won't give you enough time. They'll disable your ID the moment the call ends.

The big heads are brutal. That's why they are at the top of the hierarchy.
