Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Is 3x week RTO still being heavily enforced? Or is it up to your manager to even bother looking at the report?

@ahl+1qtITj9o look for hybrid faq on Citi intranet. It details how they treat holiday, vacay, sick day, snow day, etc. basically they are all counted towards your "in office" days.

RTO is definitely NOT being enforced at my site. The once full parking lots are not even half full these days.

A few of my co workers are skirting RTO by basically getting a frivolous doctors note. The Metlife criteria must be very simple. Most of my co workers were able to show 5 days a week pre pandemic, but now not so much.

Also, it seems each department has different rules.
HR might want to tighten up, because I see discrimination lawsuits in Citi's future.

@wth, you are correct. I, too, am on NAM, and see people abusing the 3 day mandatory rto.
Some never bother to show up at all and nothing is said to them. I feel they will make it harder on the rest of us who are compliant and turn this whole thing into five day work week.

Yes. Some of my staff are abusing it particularly in NAM and these people will be brought into line in Q1 this year.
Most people seem to forget that prior to the pandemic, regular WFH was only granted for a genuine reason and had to be negotiated with your manager and HR, and was subject to annual review.
Sadly, the few who don't follow the guidelines are going to ruin it for everyone else.

To the person whining about grandfathered in employees. If working remote was something you required, then you should have gotten that negotiated and confirmed prior to accepting an offer. Maybe you should go work somewhere else instead of being jealous and resentful of other people. I hope you have a fab-tab-u-lous day!

What I hate is: All of the employees who have been "grandfathered" in and do not have to come into the office at all. If you started at Citi after a certain date -- sometime in early 2023, I think -- you might have a situation where you get permanent work from home. These people can still come in to the office when they want to but are not required to at all. It's bullsh1t. People who started after this date are required to come in two or three days a week, depending on their department's rules. They are absolutely tracking it -- and you will get spoken to or reprimanded if you do not adhere.

Everyone doesn't have 3 days in the office. Some have two. Depends on the dept, campus, etc. We have a hybrid schedule and it's 2 days in the office per week.

YES!

Hybrid is defined as 3 Days a week in office. They track the swipes in each morning. Nothing has changed. Obviously you can be cheeky once in awhile but if there is a pattern you will get called out, down rated, or put on a PIP.

Your managers gets a report and they could lose their bonus if they aren't enforcing it.

Now go in before you ruin it for everyone else and they make us go back to 5 days.

RTO policy is not clearly defined for holidays , unexpected events like snow , hot days, winter freezing cold etc.
HR might ki-l employees without clear definition of these policies.

I thought they were going after employees who were going into the office once a month, but if you're going there twice a week, you won't be on the radar. That's my feeling, and I'm not too worried if I only go in twice a week. I know people who go into the office once a week. If it's a short week, does the company consider that?
