Here’s what going to happen :

  1. boots will be sold with an announcement coming within the next few months
  1. ticker will revert to WAG or some form of that .
  1. share price will see a bump from sale but then take a 10-20% dip.
  1. PE will step in and take it public at a 10-15% premium of the share price.
  1. PE is ruthless and more cuts will be made. They’ll focus on just the retail pharmacy aspect and get rid of everything else
  1. in 5 years Walgreens will be a shell of what it is now with a few hundred corporate employees , probably 3-5000 stores

@1fik+1qtBCkEz Do you think Walgreens will go private, be bought by someone, or simply go bankrupt?

This company is so unethical. They pay BILLIONS a year in lawsuits and fines, and they say their employees are the most important thing. They lie, they cheat, they steal, they overcharge. It's beyond sad. Yet they can't pay employees a fair wage and keep up with inflation. Say it the way it is.
