Layoff response - future in your hands, deny them the satisfaction

Sorry to hear our colleague checking out.

For the rest of us, still under the incompetent regime or not, deny them the satisfaction of laying people off.

If you've been affected, have no fear. It's just a matter of time. If you've not been licking the ELT boots and a conscientious worker, you will find something. And when you find it at a competitor, even better.

If you're still at the he-l hole, ask yourself why are you still there, following pathetic sub performing wannabe leaders. What are you learning from them but how to destroy a company and enrich one self at the expense of many others. Chart your course to get out of there as soon as possible before they come for you. Just say yes to everything they want so they feel good and lower the bo-m on your schedule. And when you do it maybe it'll be when they need you most, even better.

Vengeance, no, just doing the sensible thing once your company turn on you and making you look at opportunities at competitors. Why help these imbeciles continue to profit off of the backs of workers after making career mistakes and they can care less about you.

I think out of respect we are not naming him. There is no need to give anymore satisfaction to the ELT that their actions have led to the death of a colleague. Those around him know who he is and we are close knit and protective. No more needs to be said.

I’ve seen a couple of references to someone passing away but no name or initials.

Terrible news on a colleague checking out. My condolences goes out to the family.

To those of us remaining we need to start looking for new jobs as it does feel like it's now only a matter of when not if for most of our jobs. I've decided to start looking because at least that way I'll have a head start for when I get the call from HR.

The way that staff have been treated around here is nothing short of a disgrace. We need to hand back the ethical company award as what happens here is anything but.

There are few gems at TD left, and very few know who these are.

Unfortunately if you leave there's no one worth taking with you at this point.

The only ones left are the ones that are buddies with ELT and they're not going anywhere.

What needs to happen is for everyone who goes to a competitor their first order of business is to refer a TDC colleague into a role at the competitor. It will hasten the death of Teradata quicker.

I intend to go hard taking all the good folks I know out of the business. Good folk of Teradata don't need to be treated with the disrespect that management shows everyone else
