That attitude means you will never amount to anything. Just hope you save enuf so you can retire and then pass away. Life is too short to live it that shallow. Without a passion, no interest in the company you work for, no leadership contribution - just empty….
Find something where you can do better than this.
the best advice i ever read in this forum.
simple, clear, and solid.
I agree with you, op.
just treat your job as your secondary. it's time to focus on our family and harvest all the past workmanships.
Hock will take care of you ! Just work hard and get more RSUs ! yay !!!
it's a short-term profit extraction.
Yea, so STFU and get back to work or quit.
We will try, but it's hard to do your job when arbitrary rules, revealed only after acquisition completion, make it nearly impossible.
Everybody knew what Hock did with CA and Symantec. Don't tell me any of his dealing is a surprise. In fact, he gave enough hints during his first invitation to the all staff with Raghu back in the day when he said that there'll be layoffs and sh-t like 'I am sitting here at a beautiful campus that is empty'.
Everybody should have known / shouldn't be surprised that they layoff tons of people and ask people back to the office. And common sense should show that it won't be an overnight task to get 40k employees sorted out.
Anyway - at the end of the day - everybody is responsible for their own future. VMware / Broadcom doesn't owe you anything, nor do you owe them. So the only person you could complain about sh-t that goes wrong - is yourself.
Broadcom shareholders, including VMware employees, should worry about the future.
This PE business model is not a growth strategy, it's a short-term profit extraction.
If you're now a Broadcom shareholder it is your business. The operation cost-cutting and customer price-increase strategy is short-sighted and begs the question "What's next"?
There is no guarantee that VMware customers will agree to be manipulated by HT.
You are probably overthinking what it means to do your job in a PE style company.
Anyway, the door is over there if you don’t like it.

What, me worry?
