Weekend shifts EMEA

I'm here in Ireland, and word on the street is that we'll be working weekends without any extra pay because the Cairo center is shutting down. Have you got the lowdown on this?

I can also confirm this is true, and it must be in the office. You cannot work your weekend rota from home. And when Egypt support is gone, expect to be in the office over the weekend a lot more.

Hopefully BC will offer a night shift. Who needs a life anyway

This is true. There is no weekend allowance in Broadcom.. So, everyone will be expected to work a weekend (when it's their turn). This will apply to managers and support engineers. Expect to be in the office a lot lot more. Thanks Hock-baby

Yes this is true. You will be working Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday. This will be in the new contract and is does not carry a shift allowance - B
