Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Update

VPs in Risk were let go at the end of December in EMEA... Seems like some teams will bear heavy losses - in the particular team 2 out of 3 VPs were let go.

Post ID: @uwo+1qqBU6ue: Not sure what projects are you referring too. The people I know were laid off in Risk were full-time employees, not contractors.

Few teams have been reporting there are no projects to charge in planview. Does that mean those team members are affected? Many are AVP’s and VP’s reported about this today.

Hard to tell fact from fiction in postings.

Speculation that big firings will start Jan 15 after Jan 12 earnings report.

One clue is lots of funding has been taken away resulting in many projects stopped. If teams don’t have work in 2024 will those be let go or what will they work on.

Post ID: @lrz+1qqBU6ue : Your post is kind of contradictory - on one hand you say "I work in Risk — where there will def be major layoffs", on the other "and I have not heard of a single person in the UK getting axed (yet)"... Anyway.

The people I know were axed up until now in EMEA are: 1 MD, 1 D and 2 VPs in Risk - I am not naming the exact divisions for the obvious reasons.

I can only report:
I work in Risk — where there will def be major layoffs — and I have not heard of a single person in the UK getting axed (yet).

Also, if your information is correct, why can you not at least name the division (ERM, etc)?

Post ID: @ovo+1qqBU6ue : If you say so - I personally knew one of the VPs ... They are no longer with the firm.
