All this talk about layoffs or budget cuts or restructuring. Retail hasn't changed, no 2024 budgets in most of the departments I talk to. So what's actually going to happen kiddos?

Revolutionizing healthcare. Should be revolting healthcare. Let’s guess how much more affordable this wonderful company is going to make healthcare coverage for its own employees. Company’s that don’t own their own insurance business charge their employees less than cvs. Kinda reminds me of back in the day when the Pullman company gave housing to there employees but since they had a captive audience took advantage of them and overcharged them cvs 300,000 employees approximately, or is that I mean 300,000 customers
It probably depends what department you are in. In the billing department I work in, we are still recovering being super short staffed from the holidays. We're already bare-boned as it is, & I'm sure after we get caught up in the next week or two who knows what will happen? Nobody feels like there's a good outlook ahead. It's a shame. In my dept it seems like all of the hardworking people who never call in are the ones who are left (after multiple layoffs since the pandemic) & all are extremely overworked. We all hung in there while they were adjusting their systems/processes for remote work, and now that they are pretty secure with remote and back in office we're all just fish in a barrel. At least billing / admin-wise. Good luck everybody and wishing us all the best in the New Year
We had a little restructuring with the managers in various departments but that is it. We’ve been told that bonuses will be bleak, if at all… I would like to know how we are “revolutionizing the health care industry for the better” this is the hyper focus and I haven't seen CVS make any changes that benefit anyone but the top executives. This entire corporation is corrupt and greedy. Used to be a great place to work and it was fulfilling knowing that you were doing good things for people. Now… its just an embarrassment to work for this company.
They are now literally taking the bones off the skeleton crews working in the stores. Good luck on keeping any good help or keeping any resemblance of a store with standards. Why don’t they just sell off the stores to someone that cares or has an ounce of sense on how to run them. We have overpaid suits thinking of programs and processes to add to stores, at the same time cutting labor back 25pct over what stores were given at the same time last year. I’ll be grabbing an extra bag of chips and laughing inside while this dumpster fire rages.
Not enough budget to pay anyone in my department past Q1 of this year. Writing is on the wall…
Carepass is now ExtraCare plus. I read that some locations get same day delivery.
There's been a highly scrutinized 2024 budget in my department. High pressure on the sales and relationship management teams. I think that's what we're waiting for now, to see if they were able to deliver. Which may still be up in the air.
