Thread regarding Callon Petroleum Co. layoffs

Apache set to the new owner of CPE

Sat it on the investor call, and the townhall today. Lots of questions.

  1. Will Callon cease to exist after closing (or be a subsidiary i.e. XTO Exxon Mobil)?
  1. What will happen with the field offices in Permian/Delaware Basins?
  1. Severance does not sound like a bad thing.

The second quarter is around the corner and it seems like Callon folks will need to interview and go through some hurdles to remain on with the new company. Thoughts?

For your information, XTO does not exist anymore. EM uses the name for business purposes. Relate to Callon. Good move for the Management. Not for the employees. Apache has bad reputatio.

I would be very surprised if Apache will make callon employees interview. We do not have enough Apache employees to fill any of your company’s positions. We run very very thin.
