Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

It's always about the stock price

People are losing their health stressing over what's coming as well as their livelihoods when they are laid off, but hey, the stock is going to soar! Let's remember what's really important in the grand scheme of things, right? /s

Yes the stock price is important BUT ...........................
How do you factor in the 10 for 1 REVERSE STOCK SPLIT Citi did several years back.
The current stock price in REAL DOLLARS is $ 5.66....................NOT $ 56.60 !!!!!!!!!
If the BRAINS did another 10 for 1 REVERSE STOCK SPLIT the stock price would be $566.60
In addition its really, really, difficult to cut your way to profitability

Post ID: @bxh+1qo6hivg In addition to loving life right now, sitting on the Bora Bora Beach with a Mai Tai drink in hand with a pinky finger up (or her Middle Finger she's giving to Citi Employees !), Jane Fraser is swimming in her US $30 Million Salary which includes the 10% pay increase the BrainDe@d Out-of-Touch-With-Reality Citi Board of Directors gave her ! This $30 Million does Not include any Bonus the BrainDe@d Cretins Citi Board of Directors will surely give her !

Unfortunately its transient. Almost every single company that’s ever announced a layoff, sees a stock price increase but its often short lived….UNLESS said company can prove a plan for growth and innovation in other areas. This is where C management falls short.

Other than announcing a layoff, what other plans are out there to innovate in order to be competitive? Anything?

No news is good news.,Everything is quiet. Maybe there is no layoff coming in January. It is not possible to remove 24,000 employees in 1 week.

Jane must be loving life right now...laying on the beach of Bora Bora, drink in hand -- while the rest of us sit wondering if we will be canned in the massive layoff this month. Disgusting. I have been through several corporate layoffs in my career and none have been handled as poorly as this one. Zero employee regard; all about the shareholder.
