Heard that managers are asked to give harsher ratings so just curious

I manage 10 staff and none of the ratings which I submitted were changed or downgraded. You should not be surprised if you receive a 4 rating as your performance should have been discussed with you during regular 121 meetings with your manager and during your mid year. If you get a 4 out of the blue then your line manager is to blame.

Bonuses should be the same as you got last year, or slightly less. We will all find out soon enough!!
4 means you’re out on PIP. Can’t imagine you’d get a bonus.
A 4 gets you fired definitely no bonus.
I heard anyone with 4 receives a smaller bonus.
