Layoffs and early retirements are currently underway. Thinning out the workforce by 15-20% by voluntary and involuntary means.
Job security at a utility is rock-solid. Customer has no choice but to buy what we are selling or go back to the stone age.
Yeah, the cuts have started mostly by not hiring for roles and eliminating contractors. The feeling is that deeper cuts are incoming.
