Is this going to be an interesting year as it relates to Smith & Nephew layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Unfortunately nowhere can compete with the cheaper manufacturing costs in Malaysia and this is one of the main reasons why so many layoffs, we had so many new things implemented into our site but now the whole place is closing
Lots of lay offs across the board.
Smith & Nephew is divesting the majority of its manufacturing units in the U.S., driven in part by significant inefficiencies stemming from a middle management structure entrenched in outdated practices.
Mass layoff in December 2024
Hope Smith and nephew burns to the ground
Hear in Mansfield layoffs imminent very few people know. Many many more in Andover gone. Top management only talking amongst themselves

Agreed. Massive lack of direction and no communication from higher up!
Calling it now, another round of layoffs this year. Another percent of profit margin needed for 2024 when last year we barely got the one out CEO promised investors after cutting a ton of employees. No plans making more just tons of talk on what projects (run by people) that are gonna be cut next. CEO is just gutting the company for shareholders.
