I was layed off without any notice Feb after working their many years! Several other team members were also let go and they were there a lot longer than me. HR lied to them. They were told they were moving into a new building and HR assured them they had offices in the new building when in fact they did not. Horrible management and HR involvement! Manager was newly appointed and he turned out to be everyone’s nightmare!

Got fired two hours before a workshop. I was ready to leave the city with my luggages, weeks of preparation for something I would have shared in the workshop.

I get an invitation and fun fact I was being fired.

They didn’t say sorry or anything. Not even that they tried to “save” my job.
I left with my luggages and went home.

No empathy at all.

NXP would layoff employees with only one day notice. Very inhumane. They would notify you and lock you out at the end of the day. CA law requires 60 day notice but their Human Resource in Austin are not aware of laws outside of Texas

Was laid off on 1/16 along with others from the Austin site. This is on top of the voluntary early retirement they implemented late last year.

They announced that one of their two main HQ buildings will be closed in Netherlands by the end of the year, not to mention closing offices in Austria and layoffs in Netherlands too. They are starting to cut off all contractors (regardless of the company they are from) and not opening new internal positions.

Massive layoffs. Some groups decimated to less than 50%, how can they justify the quantity of engineers they are cutting out to the states and to their customers? They even have HR lying setting up training calendar appointment to kick out top performers... It will be fun to watch now how they are going to justify their delays to all their customers or how they will lose their quality ratings due to their lack of vision and horrible management

Clearly NXP wants this under the radar. There will be no announcements from what we were told. Just quiet cubes....
