No furloughs on crew teams. Bad public relations. Jan 1 start of critical 6 monitoring by managers Advised there will be numerous firings within quarter since they will not furlough. Numbers need to drop. Too many conductors. Two write ups automatic fired.

Carloads have been dropping since 2008. They have never been able to recover since to the 2008 level. It is forecasted that carloads will drop to lowest level in years for 2024. No one will tell you this, but we have been on a recession since COVID hit. The feds have been trying to keep the economy above water with stimulus packages and bailouts.
