Next round seems to be coming for corporate. CTO and several executives are gone and no one knows what’s going on.
Guest World Wide let go of valuable players. They kept staff who were notoriously difficult to work with and not good at their jobs. I suspect they'll be more layoffs soon at the rate they are going and how they are managing things.
Is this for Canada or US? Truckers always moving. They are moving into AI to replace services across the board.
Guest World Wide has been and will continue to be a dumpster fire. Because of an antiquated infrastructure and old school business practices they will not be able to sell themselves out of this predicament. They don’t have the talent, support or value proposition left to get it done.
Guest World Wide is reaping what they sowed. No accountability by the SLT, weak / dysfunctional work processes and a lack of understanding what the competition is doing. The SLT ignored HD Supply and didn’t take them serious. Now they are getting their as--s kicked on a daily basis by them.
They hired me 10 months ago and let me go during this round of layoffs. Why would you hire someone only to let them go in 10 months. This company is stupid and Kevin will drive Sysco to ground.
Sysco Houston I.T. Department has pretty much been outsourced to India, how bout the warm and fuzzy customer experience? There are very few American I.T. workers left in Sysco Corporate. If you want to support an American Company I suggest you look somewhere other than Sysco. This management (at HQ) doesn't have a clue on how to run a food company and is doing nothing but greasing the hands of his CVS friends! Time to go!!!
director of colorado & new mexico got laid off - after 30 years with Sysco
March 4th and 5th. Guest Worldwide terminated 97 people in various departments at all levels and across the 3 divisions. Some had been with company for many years. They were told effective immediately and not to call or text their coworkers. Then short call with all remaining employees to explain why on March 5.
Someone should do a little calculation about the cost of the # of executives that Kevin brought on, the consultants that he paid to advise him to do it, the golden parachutes that carried all of his friends away again after just a couple of years. Some of them came out of retirement to come work at Sysco and then take millions in severance on their way out the revolving door. This is why they are cutting worker bees, to pay for this little boy who can't run a business (any business that he has ever run has run aground)
So sad to see sysco going through this again. I spent 12 of the best years of my life with sysco when the piper came calling for the bad management decisions made in regards to the failed sap conversion back in 2012. I’ve noticed that the company seems to have gone even more woke than they were even back then. Go woke go broke. Focus on the customers and the employees and the rest will take care of itself.
This round of latest layoffs are going to hurt us bad. They have cut very deep and a lot of good people were let go. The (useless) work doesn't stop coming and there is a lot of workload for those of us that are left. The new leadership is taking down the company's culture, focus, and overall atmosphere. Time for giving up on your loyalty to one employer and start looking for other job opportunities.
That’s the the Corporate America Goes I am Sure Fresh Point People Our Next So Sad !
At least 2 people in my merchandising department. Less people responsible for more sites. They’ll be posting for all our jobs within 2 months. What a mess.
Let go on Thursday March 7th after 30 plus years supporting this company with a lot of very proud memories blood and sweat.
I have a feeling we aren't in a great financial position which is why we are continuing to cut. First all of the coordinators several months ago, now this mass layoff. Can't imagine we would be doing this if we were in great shape.
The DEI hire who runs HR just announced 500 jobs cut. If you haven't been notified by now, you're safe.. For another month.
Why not look at the top? The people getting laid off are all the worker bees now.
Should buyers be worried about this layoffs ? When will this end ?
I was laid off yesterday, first thing in the morning! I’ve been here before so I know how it goes. I pray for all of us in this situation that God gives us other opportunities in the near future to meet our needs.
Guest Services, Fresh Point, GSC Sysco LABS etc.. this is insane the greed is out of control
They just laid me off after 7 years. Never once been anything but above my targets for the last 5 years.
