How likely is that there will be C.H. Robinson layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Sounds like they are eliminating entire branches. Having many branches was considered a strength in the past. I guess not so much now.
CHR just laid off a huge chunk of people as well as announced they hired a new Chief financial officer the SAME DAY they let MULTIPLE departments go…
Chrobinson just layed off a large chunk of people today
What is this, like the 8th round of layoffs since 2020 for CHR? Some have been big and some small and quiet. Not counting the 401k suspension they did in 2020 and the general reduction in comp for the people that remain.
So much talent walked out the door from 2019-2021 when leadership changed at the CEO/CIO level. That new regime didn't ask or care as people left in droves. I bet they care now. Now all that remains are 20 somethings that don't know better and a bunch of lifers that are trying to survive to retirement. Also, they can't keep a CFO in place for very long. That says a lot.
Fear is what's keeping most people in IT in place. Not exactly a recipe for innovation and success.
Gotta keep laying people off to keep the pay and benefits flowing to the boys at the top. Bozeman made $28 million in comp his first year in office:

I’m hearing the layoffs last Friday were bigger than previously thought. 107 mostly from IT.
No layoffs anytime soon, we can’t be making headlines like that just yet…right now the company is strategically focused on making changes that solely benefit Wall Street, and financially sc--wing the people who got them to this point. Everyone here is miserable right now, the company has completely forgotten about it’s people. The changes being implemented are causing many to quit, a lot of talent has left, and many more plan to leave as the company is in full throttle with implementing their digital platform, and continuing to remove financial incentives (or making them unachieveable) from people who worked hard to build the relationships that brought CH the success they had in better markets. Good for CH, su-ks to anyone who planned to be a lifer.
I can confirm tech/data science layoffs this week. I don't know how widespread, but they hit my team.
Im hearing several in tech and data science were laid off just this week.
CHR seems to be shedding anyone who can help innovate and anyone who can run the day to day operations, how exactly does this company expect to stay relevant?
I laid myself off as I left for greener pastures. It didn’t make sense to stay with a company that took last years merit bonus since I see them doing the same thing again. My new position pays more, has better benefits, and it is a more professional company.
They’re going to keep cutting until something breaks.
We all received a corporate strategy email that contained language that might indicate layoffs. Talking about right sizing and getting fit. Buckle your seat belts.
Many IT people are quitting. Three people have left in my area the past 2 weeks.
Beatings shall continue until morale improves!
bozo has no vested interest in employees his own pockets are contigent upon the bottom line easiest way to cut costs is layoffs
Yes, there is a lot of anger over the lost merit increases. Especially since Bozeman is collecting 20 million. People are looking for other opportunities and I expect many good people to leave.
No merit increase, but thankfully Management will get there Bonuses
Yes TMC and NAST both got hit. Including a VP and some managers as well.
TMC layoffs in both NA and Europe today.
3 members of the Solutions Design team got laid off and their manager “resigned”.
I’m expecting them to take our 401K match like they did a few years ago. Then possibly take part of our salary like what happened to me at my last company. Finally a layoff.
I think a more reasonable question is “why would you think there won’t be many, many more layoffs?”
Recent financial results tell a grim tale, even with about a quarter of the workforce gone over the last 12 months; management has used mass layoffs several times in the past as a financial tool.
You do the math.
Q4 was trash, Q1 shaping up to be garbage as well. Plus, with no merit raises and a hiring freeze I'd venture to guess layoffs will be fast and furious this year yet again. I'm just glad Bozoo gets to keep his 6.5 million in stock options. Inflation has been a b*tch this last year.
With the horrible 4th quarter earnings report and bleak outlook this year, mass layoffs seem inevitable.
