Ametek is laying off in Minneapolis. I would recommend to stay away from this company!
This week 6 were laid off for revenue reasons in Georgia before the holiday and a new leader took hold (this is said very softly wink wink nudge nudge). Go figure
BUVP Dk at Ametek Hughes-Treitler in Garden City is at it again. He had three longtime employees terminated. Institutional knowledge is being pushed out the door, just to lower the bottom line!
Really sorry to hear this - Alphasense used to be a great business.
Word on the street is Ametek are laying off 30 at Alphasense in Chelmsford UK + a handful at Mocon Minneapolis, US. Global sales are down so they are looking to cut labor cost by moving a heap of production to Serbia (!?!). This is phase 1 so at least the same number expected to go phase 2 later this year. Sad times 🙁.

Ametek companies not a good place to be thru 2024!
Small redundancies in Mocon Denmark in 2023. We feel to expect much more in 2024, maybe many as Ametek look for cost saving through Serbia operation. The same is true in other Ametek businesses hearing from colleagues overseas.
Stay away from Garden City Location BUVP has no clue how to run a company.
back last year ametek let go of folks in minnesota and europe. heard things aint good and theyr fixin' to up move USA factories to the other side of europe, serbia i heard. sure gonna be a heap of folks outa work.
