We've been in a silent, unending layoff since COVID, really. At least in Corporate. Either positions not getting backfilled, or people outright laid off. All of the old guard is gone at the upper level of management. Had a lot of retirements at the end of 2023. They never announced layoffs, just keep thinning out SG&A to hit the margin profile they promised the street and failed to deliver through customer acquisitions. My experience is that we are at a point where effectiveness is being impacted across multiple functions as there is no fat to cut, just muscle and bone at this point.
