Confirmed layoffs in Austin today
AMAT being real sleezy tbh. They go out of their way to not call it a layoffs. EPG had around 30 people let go today but they didn’t call it a layoff. They said they were entered into a talent pool and they have two weeks to find a job within the company or take a package. I wonder if this is how they avoid submitting to the WARN website.
Confirmed layoffs with MFG in EPG on Wednesday. Seems like a very small list. I’m guessing that’s how they’re avoiding submitting to the WARN website?
I heard from someone at corporate HQ SC that layoffs have began with manufacturing and HQ finance
Has anyone heard anything about layoffs?
Well, we have received an email from our beloved CEO that full time onsite is now mandatory unless your job is coded as remote. This is their way to get rid of people since they know a lot of people don't have remote jobs but get to work remote due to their managers. There option is to now quit or move closer to their jobsite.
is internal audit in austin safe?
when is the next round of layoffs?
It's definitely coming. AMAT over-hired during the pandemic like all the tech companies, in which they have already started laying off people. Layoff in August last year was to get rid of all employees that scored the lowest in performance but it probably wasn't enough. My guess from looking at the numbers is that it's coming beginning of Q3.
We must be patient for such events to be formulated and planned for and then implemented. You cant avoid the meeting invite if and when it happens.
Try to align yourself within an inner circle of growing power.
Intel announced recent lay offs so it’s only a matter of time until AMAT announces it
