After years with Flowers, I was laid off via a virtual meeting ambush with my boss and someone from HR. Boss read from a script. Locked out of computer immediately. Very cold and undignified way to lay off an employee. Very unexpected. Flowers tries to get employees to believe it’s a family but is anything but. Deceptive, lazy and poor leadership at nearly all levels. The mid and lower level employees pay for the poor decisions of top leadership. The c suite is very poor and is only in those positions due to nepotism and the good ole boys network. They have made very poor strategic and capital decisions in recent years that are decimating the company. Flowers is a sinking ship due to these poor leaders who have no business running any organization much less a large corporation. Sad situation all around.

I worked for Corp for MANY years and was laid off as well. Always went above and beyond. I was fooled. I hope others had more compassionate people in their meeting. They virtually “walked me to the parking lot”. Never got an apology or a valid explanation. I choose to look at it as a blessing in disguise.

Flowers Foods laid off IT professional who worked more than 2-3 years. All the hard-working and smart guys are out from flowers now. It seems like the leadership is not understanding what is happening in the downstream.

It happened in Eastern Pennsylvania as well. 10-12 sales directors and 1-2 Market vice presidents.

It seems that flowers let high ranking people with 10-12 plus years go yesterday with a very paltry severance package these were good hardworking folks who gave their all for the company and this is how they were treated in the end, I had upmost respect for flowers Bakery Company but to do this to people with longevity and keep the newbies that have no clue or experience but are paid less that’s just wrong and if those newbies are the future of Flowers Bakeries across American run now sell your shares because Flowers is headed for a huge fall

My husband was let go after 14 years yesterday. His last review was stellar but due to "restructuring" his position is no longer. All his tasks and responsibilities are being absorbed by others for no additional pay.

I worked for Flowers Corp Office and was laid off yesterday. Not sure how many others are also gone. Good performance review and stayed pretty busy so no one is really safe long term. My salary may be gone but my work responsibilities will remain will likely be absorbed by someone who will get no additional pay for considerable additional work. Hiring freeze as well. Not a healthy company.

Flowers Foods laid off 5% of its sales management today. Mostly Market Vice Presidents. I’m aware of one name. Brock Sellers out of Knoxville Tn.
