you saw it today. it'll get worse and i think layoffs will follow... just my gut feeling
My advice, read a piece titled The Hatchet Man's Playbook. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I worked at ASML and resigned last year. I believe there will be an avalanche of layoffs coming mainly from 1) Over-hiring, 2) Failed/failing projects, and to a lesser extent 3) Chinese export bans. The company has a monopoly in the lithography business, but some of its biggest shareholders are also its (longtime) unhappy customers. I expect some changes, likely being broken up.
They have had significant lay offs in Talent Acquisition in 2023 and so far in 2024.
