HR and Training group cut at Lehi. Frankly the training is god awful since the take over but who knows who is next.
I got laid off last Thursday from TI Utah (after 6 yrs) along with another 20 friends - most with over 20yrs of service. I heard another 20 from TX gone also.
We didn't see it coming at all!
My team lost half its engineers today, avengers infinity war style. Lost too many genuinely great people, talent, and tribal wisdom at TI. Hoping to get any explanations from upper management soon, would love to know what big plans they have in store.
Lay off people via phone! Real classy TI, real classy!
I left TI on my own volition months ago. I heard that between 60 and 90 people were laid off today.
I got laid off today after working there for 4 months. Got this job though an internship and started fresh out of college after I went back for my masters degree. Not sure if it was just me or if other are being impacted as well... They told me it was "company restructuring" and that "my position just isn't needed anymore."
Have been with TI for 46 years. Was going to retire end of the year. After shift on May 22nd got call from manager, " sorry but, you have been caught in a RIF & today was your last day. Someone will contact you from HR". Received an email, from HR, 60 days pay, 60 days insurance, 1 yr pay for every yr service. No bridge to retire. No retirement bennies. Have to mail our laptops & equipment back. Nice way to dump folks, call them on the phone. Don't even do it face to face!
There have been a ton of layoffs in Digital Marketing and IT. I was let go 4/11. Standard 2 months plus 1 week for each year of service. IT was almost 200 people.
I know someone that worked for TI in headquarters and the IT job was eliminated. He got let go last week. He worked for TI for 38 years and got a 12 month severance..
Which now they've announced there will be NO positions available in Dallas for Sherman people. Everyone is SOL. TI lied to the people of Grayson County with it's 3,000 jobs.
the old SFAB (not new construction) in sherman is shutting down by the end of the year they just announced internally. There are offering only equipment technicians with 8 or more years seniority to move to new sfab, no other positions. there are 10 operator rolls opened to the hundreds who are losing those roles to fight over in one of the dallas fabs about an hour and a half south
