If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Accenture layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Yes, but that is because in Germany and France (as far as my knowledge goes, correct me if I am wrong), they can not just lay off an employee like in US or UK. When Google tried to layoff people in Germany or France (I am not sure at this moment), Google was forced to offer voluntary layoffs and offer great package to volunteers. In a way, no employer can just decide to layoff hundreds or thousands of people. Possibly their employee protection is somewhat better than in the rest of the world.
Rumors say that in Germany they are actually approaching numerous employees discussing settlement offers. They have grown too fast through acquisitions for sure...
I guess we will know more after the earnings call on the 21.03.. If anything will happen, it will be shortly after. There is another topic here similar to this one, claiming that there will be some cuts soon. Of course, only rumours, no confirmations.
The economy isn’t going to turn around. Have you seen mortgage interest rates, credit card interest rates, gone grocery shopping or bought gas? It isn’t going to get better.

there was an article back in april 2023 saying "Accenture is letting go of 19,000 of its employees or 2.5 percent of its workforce over a period of the next one and half years."
